Three weeks later, he went out with friends but they did not come home. Worried, they reported to the police and they were taken to the mortuary where his body have been dumped.
The police claimed he was killed by armed robbers and his body was brought in by good samaritans. They mourned.
Few days later, one of the good samaritans visited and he came with news.
‘Madam, no be armed robber kill your pikin, na SARS. But we no go fit talk this thing for station because they fit ask for proof and we no get am. They go kill us. My concience dey disturb me since that day so I say make I come tell you’.
He located the house address through their brother’s obituary because there was a wake keep in the compound.
They involved the law but with no proof, there was no justice. Their mother lost it. She has been sitting like that for the past seven years. Only gets up when it’s time to eat or have a bath. Clutching her son’s favorite shirt.
